Motorsports Photography – New England Top Drift

Time to showcase some motorsports photography! Last weekend, I went to New England Top Drift in Thompson CT to shoot some drifting photos for Clutch Motorsports. I’ve never really been interested in motorsports events, but this was actually a really fun experience and I would totally want to go to an event like this again in the future. #motorsportsphotography

It was through this event that I also discovered Robert Goodwin, who does a lot of motorsports photography like this. I really like how his photos turn out.

Camera Gear:

For this photo shoot, I used a Canon EOS Rebel t6 with A Tamaron 18-200mm lens. I also used a basic flash unit. The Rebel t6 is a really good budget-friendly camera if you’re starting to learn photography.

Additional Photos

Here’s some raw photos of other drifters that were participating that day:

Be sure to follow Clutch Motor Sports and Robert Goodwin for more motorsports photography.

Guitar Product Photography

These product shots were captured with a Canon EOS Rebel T5i and shot with studio lighting. The goal of this assignment was to practice studio lighting.

I then used the shots to create a guitar magazine cover and two inside pages.

Jamestown and Newport

I wanted to capture the most interesting moments from our trip to the abandoned Fort Wetherill in Jamestown RI, and the Breakers Mansion in Newport RI.

The graffiti covering the fort created some really interesting compositions and patterns. I also came across a cliff.

These photos were shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T6 and an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III Camera Lens
